For 15 years, KC was married to a Christian man whom she thought she knew. Then she discovered that her husband had been abusing their children. That’s when KC’s perfect world came crashing in. KC tells her story, a story of heartbreak, but ultimately of redemption. Discover how God can turn ashes into beauty.
We would like to thank KLMP Radio in Rapid City, South Dakota, for partnering with us on this week’s story.

I can relate to KC’s story. My husband abused me and started abusing our sons. Physically and mentally. I divorced him. Than a older boy in the neighborhood abused 3 of my 4 sons, sexually. I’ve struggled over the years and been in relationships trying to find someone to truly love me. I’ve stopped looking. I’m tired of being hurt. All my sons have been in and out of prison. I want to know from god what does he want me to learn through all the heartache I’ve been through.

This is a very strong story about a Mother that was strengthen by God to take the actions that needed to be taken to put her children first. It was not an easy task, but she saw beyond the risk that was involved. This reminds me of Esther where she put herself at risk to expose the sin and save her people. The Mother (KC) put herself at risk to expose the sin and save her kids. Great support from her parents (Her Father, especially), Her Brother, and the bravery of her own Kids. I admire the actions she took and wish them continued blessings from God and the continued prayers to take them in the journey they need to go for peace in their lives.

This is such a wonderful story and encourages us “the mother” to be always strong and rely on God’s amazing plan. Thank you KC for sharing your hardships so that we could be strong and trust God always.
