As a biracial child in the 1970s, Renee was the recipient of intense bullying. And after being sexually assaulted as a teen, her life seemed to spin out of control. Renee shares how God pulled her back from the brink of self-destruction and revealed her true identity and value through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
We would like to thank St. John's Tabernacle Church in Detroit, Michigan, for partnering with us on this week's program.

Our true identity lies in a relationship with Jesus Christ, you experience wholeness in Him. Glad you finally got there.

First off, thank “Words to Live By” Ministries and Renee for sharing that powerful message. As “Agric” has stated, we experience wholeness, having a relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s the only source for experiencing wholeness.
Sad to hear that someone had violated Renee’s physical being and to have experienced the disrespect of that person and the pain of physical, mental, and spiritual stature. Like Renee’s stated, she was a teenager at that time so that was a very vulnerable time where she could have chosen to end her life. Sounds like David’s oldest son, Ammon in 2 Samuel. He did the same thing with his half-sister, Tamar. She never gotten out of that painful experience.
Seems like Renee’s parents was able to keep her grounded. Even though they have their trials and the Mom was not initially a Christian, but they ensure their Kids was grounded with God and to live spiritually.
