What a powerful story. Wow. “Circumstances may appear to wreck our lives and God’s plan, but God is not helpless among the ruins.” – Eric Liddell

Thank you for sharing your story. I can imagine that Carol’s story concerning her son Jason was not easy to share. In some respect, being a step-parent and a parent myself, I understand wanting to be there for your kids and to protect your kids in any way possible. Sometimes when hurt or pain comes to the ones we love especially through no fault of their own, we question God, “Where are you at, God”? “Why are you allowing this to happen to the ones I love”, “They don’t deserve this, God, they have done nothing wrong”. We don’t understand. However, God is on the throne and he had never left and He is in control…all the time. I admire Carol and her Husband for being there and supporting Jason and April and their father through this circumstance. It was an immediate response for them to be with Jason and his family. That is true Love for the family and for God. I admire Jason for not being discouraged enough to expressed hatred in his situation, but he decided to use his time to share the word and bring others there to Christ. So he is doing the work of the Lord. I admire April to be there for support and still care for her kids. I’m sure she is going through a lot emotionally and she has a tough schedule, but she is taking care of her kids and doing what has to be done to support them and their household. Thank you again for sharing, Carol. This was a powerful message.

Dear Carol.
Hi, I sympathize with you and your family, about what your son Jason has done. But I know that God’s hand is not short. He does allow things to happen to His people, like He allowed things happen to Job, but look what Job had said to his wife, when she said to him, ‘ Why don’t you curse God and die.’ But he answered and said to her, ‘ Do we only accept good from God and not adversity.’ I believe that God your son to go to prison for two reasons, ( 1 ) Because that where the lesson is that God wanted to teach him. ( 2 ) It is the place that God had chosen to use Jason as His vessel to minister to other people in the same situation as himself. Please remember, God has always made a way where there seem to be a way. We do not understand why God allows these things to happen. But what He told us to do is to keep trusting in Him. See how He use the apostle Paul while he was in prison, and He also used Joseph while he was in prison. Joseph said that they used this for evil but God had used this for good.
P:S. What I’m encouraging with is this: let go of your son, God is still on the throne.
Brother in Christ
